Self-assessment questionnaire on corporate social responsibility and sustainability for
suppliers in the automotive sector.
The SAQ on Sustainability in the supply chain is a common questionnaire, created by the
initiative Drive Sustainability. The initiative is coordinated by CSR Europe and
consists of 11 OEMs working together to improve sustainability in automotive supply
chains.
It is a call to companies to incorporate ten universal principles related to human
rights, labor, the environment and the fight against corruption in their strategies and
operations, as well as to act in relation to social objectives and the implementation of
the SDGs.
It is also a global movement of responsible companies that integrate sustainability into
their core strategies and operations for the benefit of society as well as their own.
It is an initiative promoted by Citibanamex, Deloitte and Tecnológico de Monterrey which,
since 2010 recognizes and promote private medium-sized companies in Mexico that stand
out for their great performance in business management.
For nine consecutive years Unicar Plastics has been recognized as one of the Best
Mexican Companies.
TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is an information security assessment standard developed specifically for the automotive industry. It is managed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and allows companies to assess and demonstrate their compliance with security requirements, such as data protection and information confidentiality, throughout the supply chain. The TISAX certification ensures that a company meets high-security standards, facilitating trust and collaboration in the automotive sector.
In the competition, we were up against more than 130 companies from Puebla, each with a significant track record and contribution to the economic and social development of Puebla. This recognition proves that our constant efforts to improve and overcome any obstacles have borne fruit. Additionally, it is the result of the great work of all our current staff and the past 22 years.
Empresa de Diez es el programa con el que el Gobierno Federal, a través del INFONAVIT (Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores), reconoce a las empresas que cumplen con sus obligaciones patronales y tienen un excelente comportamiento fiscal y jurídico con el Infonavit. Para ser acreedor a este reconocimiento, Unicar Plastics cumplió puntualmente con el pago completo de las aportaciones y amortizaciones , esto consiste en cubrir bimestralmente con el 97% de la factura como mínimo. No contar con indicios de evasión, auditorías activas, quejas abiertas o en proceso ante la Procuraduría de la Defensa del Contribuyente.
In September 2018, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA), through an
environmental performance audit, ruled in favor of Unicar Plastics for full compliance
with environmental regulations.
In September 2020, the environmental certification was ratified through an audit that
resulted in the maintenance of the certificate until February 2023.
In February 2020, Unicar Plastics was recognized as a "Socially Responsible Company" in the category of large companies. This distinction is awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI). It promotes that companies and organizations established in Mexico comply profitability and economic, social and environmental sustainability.
The ISO 14001 standard establishes the requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Its main objective is to help organizations improve their environmental performance, comply with legal obligations, and reduce their environmental impact through a systematic approach to identifying, managing, monitoring, and controlling their environmental aspects.
EcoVadis is the most prestigious provider of Sustainability Assessments in the world.
Dozens of companies are associated with this organism to collaborate on sustainability
with a common platform, a universal assessment sheet, performance improvement indicators
and tools. The evaluation consists of a questionnaire that covers four important topics
of Social Responsibility in companies, these are:

- Labor Practices
- Environment
- Ethics and Sustainable Purchasing
